Nowadays everyone wants to find out as much about the people they’re giving their money too. That’s fair enough. A good way is the many review sites out there, but the problem with this is it’s open to manipulation, by competitors, businesses trying to sell you something and in some cases the review sites themselves. Note the recent case of a B&B, with hundreds of regular guests who had returned year after year, going bust after one paid for review site took the hump with them and destroyed their reputation.

Years ago, and I’m talking about ten of them, we had what was then called a “guest book” embedded into our website. It was used for a while, but not much, so we turned it off. It wasn’t until recently that we remembered it, and now it’s turned on again and soon to be filled up with customer comments about us. The good (hopefully), the bad and the ugly.

Well, actually, that’s not 100% true, we’ll be removing the ugly, there’s just no need for them, but we will not, absolutely not, 100% not remove bad reviews. So long as they’re honest. We’re human and mistakes happen. We will though reserve the right the reply though, to give our side of the story. This might all go tits up. We might get over run with spammers or goodness what, but we’re going to give it a try.
